About Kathy Wood
After receiving Reflexology treatments a number of years ago and experiencing wonderfully positive results both physically and emotionally, I decided to study the subject and make a career change into the world of Complementary Therapy. After 2 years of study and many pairs of feet, I qualified from the Ashton School of Reflexology under the watchful and supportive eye of the Association of Reflexologists. I am a full member of this association (AOR).
Since then I have also studied and gained qualifications in the following:
? Reflexology for Menopause
? Second Degree in Reiki Healing
? Diploma in Seated Acupressure Chair Massage (on-site massage)
? Diploma in Teaching Meditation
? Diploma in Indian Head Massage
? Certificate in the HEARTS process
? Diploma in Swedish Massage
I work both privately at my clinic in Headingley and out in the workplace offering treatments to hard working staff members of various organisations in some cases, on a regular basis or as an occasional treat from their Employer. I have worked quite extensively in the field of mental health and addiction where I have seen the real benefits that holistic therapies can bring to people at difficult times in their lives.
Being a ‘woman of a certain age’ I have more recently specialised in the area of Peri-Menopause and Menopause in order to help women approaching or going through this challenging time of their lives…..it doesn’t have to be so bad and Ladies….. you are not alone!!!
